Tatum Damron Recognized As GLVC Women's Soccer Defensive Player Of The Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Tatum Damron was recognized as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Damron and the Bulldogs posted consecutive shutouts over the weekend and have blanked opponents in four of the last five matches.

Damron has allowed one goal in the last five games and has lowered her goals against average to 0.88. She was credited with a season and career high 12 saves in the 3-0 rout over Quincy on Friday afternoon and made six saves in a 1-0 win over Illinois Springfield on Sunday. She has four shutouts for the season and eight for her career.

This is Damron's first GLVC Player of the Week award and first by a Bulldog since Beth Hopwood in 2021, also as a defensive player.

Truman State will take their five-match unbeaten streak on the road this weekend when they face Southwest Baptist (Mo.) and Drury (Mo.) on Friday and Sunday respectively.
