Biography

Truman
2014: Named first-team all-GLVC at third base and picked up second-team NFCA and Daktronics all-Midwest region honors after playing and starting all 56 games … was the team-leader in batting average (.389), home runs (12), and walks (32), while also adding 10 doubles and 39 RBI … posted an OPS of 1.168, striking out just 20 times in 162 total at-bats … made 49 starts as the team’s cleanup hitter and had 20 multi-hi and 11 multi-RBI games … logged a season-best four RBI against West Florida on Feb. 15 … hit two home runs in GLVC tournament game against William Jewell on May 3 … 12 of her 39 RBI on the season came with two outs … posted a team-best 22 game reached-base streak from March 10 through April 5, which saw her batting average reach .467 … hit .410 on the season vs. right-handed pitching and was a .500 hitter when leading off an inning (14-of-28) … scored a runner on third with less than two out 67% of the time (12 tries).
 
2013: Started all 47 games for the Bulldogs, hitting .343 (47-for-137) with three doubles and eight home runs ... drove in 30 runs and scored 23 times behind 74 total bases ... posted a .952 OPS and recorded a .950 fielding percentage at the hot corner ... made 45 of her 47 starts at 3B and batted either fifth or sixth in the lineup 41 times ... tied for the team-lead with 15 multi-hit games and drove in multiple RBIs nine times ... went 3-for-3 with a grand slam on March 23 against Pittsburg State ... added a three-RBI day at Southwest Baptist on April 6.

2012: Was one of the team’s top hitters before suffering a season-ending injury on March 17 … hit .400 in 22 games (all starts) to begin her collegiate career, going 24-for-60 with 10 runs, five home runs, two doubles and a triple … drove in 11 RBI and had an OPS of 1.180 … had eight multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 game at East Central on March 6 … went 2-for-3 with two solo bombs at Cameron on March 5 and homered on back-to-back days on Feb. 24-25.
 
High School
A four-year starter and letterwinner for head coach Kelly O’Bryan at Fort Zumwalt South High School. As a senior, Simon drove in 30 RBI, hit .476 and earned second-team all-state along with first-team all-conference, all-district and all-region accolades. She was named academic all-conference each of her four years and had just one season where she hit worse than .370.  Her team won a sectional championship in 2009 before repeating as conference champions in 2010 … played for St. Louis Esprit club program.
